Get to know Makers Making Change! An organization on a mission to leverage the capacity of community-based makers, disability professionals, and volunteers to develop and deliver affordable Open Source Assistive Technologies.
I am an occupational therapist working for NYC public schools for over 20 years with a passion for assistive technology. On the side, I helped co-found Zero Day Camp, a nonprofit, on a mission to bring computer science and media literacy to youth and educators. We support the local NYC chapter of Makers Making Change and their mission of breaking down barriers to assistive technology by connecting makers, AT users, and disability professionals.
