We are holding graphics team recruitments for the 2026 Maker Faire season! If you are dedicated and passionate about art design, and STEM, want to make connections with fellow makers and makerspaces in NYC, or have any of the following skills:
– General Visual Arts/Graphic Design
– Typography/layout
– Web Design
– Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or Procreate proficiency
– Data Visualization
We would love to have you on the Maker Faire Coney Island Graphics Team for this season and onwards! This is a volunteer position.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Starting in July, we will individually assign each member of the graphics team projects based on their skills and commitment level, whether it’s making materials for our Street Team, designing Social Media posts (a huge part of the job), creating informative graphics for our in-person events, and more. We will mainly be communicating through Discord. Meeting times, where we discuss team objectives, will be at least once every two weeks. Times and dates will be based off of group availability.
Required:
– Must have graphic design skills/experience
– An artistic/creative mind: we let our artists have as MUCH freedom as possible within design guidelines!
– Can comfortably navigate design software (examples: Adobe, Procreate, Canva)
NOTE: artistic skills are not limited to 2D digital work. If you have any video editing, 3D modeling, or traditional art skill (or anything that would be useful) please apply!
