What inspired you to make this project?
This project was inspired by our founder's (Kimberly Seales-Allers) own traumatic birth story as she birthed her children years ago. She decided to take a stand against maternal mortality and develop an app designed as an early warning detection system for black and brown birthing parents.
What are some of the challenges you have encountered and how did you address them?
We constantly face resistance from organizations on a systemic level such as hospitals. We face these challenges by developing new engagement strategies and remaining resilient in our cause.
