Micro:bit Salvage Bots

Young Makers (Maker is under 18yo)
Come see our Micro:bit Salvage Bots! Middle schoolers are building imaginative character bots with old robotics parts connected to Micro:bits to bring sustainability to technology. They're bringing their Salvage Bots to life with creative ideas.

What inspired you to make this project?
We have accumulated robotics kit parts from "obsolete" educational robotics sets over the years and wanted to make use of them by creating a pcb adapter to connect and program them with the Micro:bit.

What are some of the challenges you have encountered and how did you address them?
Students encountered many challenges in making their bots! They learned that all engineers face challenges in making things and technology only works after problems are debugged and fixed.
